TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration will reopen tourist attractions in the capital on a trial basis gradually, an official has said.

Currently, the reopening is still focused on the first-phase tourist sites, which include Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), and Setu Babakan, head of entertainment and recreation supervisor at Jakarta's Tourism and Creative Economy Office, Iffan Radja, said here on Wednesday.

Apart from the three trial locations, other tourist sites will remain closed temporarily, he added.

"Opening trials for tourism in the Seribu Islands have not been discussed yet," he remarked.

Earlier, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued the Jakarta Governor's Decree No. 1122 of 2021 on regulating Level 3 PPKM in the capital.

As stipulated in the Governor's Decree, activities in tourist attractions and other public sites are still temporarily halted, Radja said.

Currently, health protocols are being implemented in Ancol, TMII, and Setu Babakan in accordance with the directions of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry and the Health Ministry, he added.

The operating hours of the three tourist attractions have also been limited to 9 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Standard Time), the official said.

The managers of the on-trial tourist attractions have been asked to implement the PeduliLindungi application, he added.

Also, as per the regulation, children under 12 years are prohibited from entering the tourist attractions, he said.

The Jakarta administration has also applied the odd-even license plate policy along the road that connects these tourist attractions, which is effective Fridays to Sundays, from 12 p.m. WIB to 6 p.m. WIB.

Meanwhile, based on data provided on the website corona.jakarta.go.id on Wednesday, the vaccination coverage in Seribu Islands has reached 22,297 across 127 neighborhoods.

In addition, 20,273 people have received the first dose (90.92 percent of the total target) and 13,019 have received the second dose of the vaccine.
