TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Many people are not being informed of the odd-even policy at tourist destinations on the first day of its implementation yesterday.

"They've been told [about it] and we've also worked with Taman Mini and Ancol securities, so there's a solution," said Jakarta Metro Police traffic director, Sr. Com. Sambodo Purnomo Yogo at his office Saturday, September 18.

In an hour, ten vehicles that violated the odd-even rule at tourist destination were asked to turn back. "In the inside [of the recreation area], there was not too many visitors," said Sambodo.

The authorities also guarded the entrances of the tourism areas. So the people who are willing to enter Ancol or Taman Mini Indonesia Indah could stop at the entrance gate. "The management would prepare a vehicle to get inside."

The odd-even policy at tourism sites in Jakarta has been taking place since Friday, September 17. It is implemented from 12:00 to 18:00 local time.

The monitoring posts of the policy in TMII are located at TMII Gate 1 and at T-junction traffic light heading to Cipayung. Manwhile in Ancol, the posts are located in the front of the west gate and east gate entrances.
