TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Cinemas in Jakarta are officially reopened on Thursday, September 16. The government allows the reopening of movie theaters in areas with the status of levels 3 and 2 PPKM (community mobility restriction).
The four requirements for entering the cinema for visitors during PPKM Level 3 are as follows:
The use of PeduliLindung application to screen all visitors and employees is mandatory.
The maximum capacity is 50 percent, and only visitors from areas with Green zone status as stated in PeduliLindungi app are allowed to enter.
Visitors under the age of twelve are prohibited from entering.
It is forbidden to eat and drink or sell food and beverages in the cinema area.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Gumilar Ekalaya, said cinemas in Jakarta such as XXI, 21, CGV, and Cinepolis have been integrated with the PeduliLindung application.
"Actually, the requirements to enter [the movie theaters] are as stipulated in the Instruction of Home Affairs Minister," Gumilar said when contacted by reporters on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
