TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Upstream Oil and Gas Special Regulatory Taskforce (SKK Migas) has inaugurated the West Betara (WB) non associated gas (NAG) compression and condensate pumping system project in order to maintain oil and gas production at the Jabung Block located in Jambi.

“The WB NAG Compression and Condensate Pumping System project is one of the most important activities in the upstream oil and gas industry that was successfully completed amidst the Covid-19 pandemic,” SKK Migas operations deputy Julius Wiratno in a press release on Sunday, August 29, Antaranews reported.

The deputy inaugurated the project virtual on Thursday, August 26, with the presence of the Jabung Wang Qilin general manager.

PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. is the contractor the SKK Migas has partnered with in order to maintain the gas flow from the West Betara field to the South Betara field.

The task force pledged to complete other upstream oil and gas projects despite being limited by the Covid-9 pandemic and is eyeing to complete 12 on-stream projects in 2021.
