TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta today starts the Covid-19 vaccination for expatriates working in the city. Governor Anies Baswedan said that the capital city administration partnered with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry or Kadin Indonesia.

"This noon we, the Jakarta Provincial Government, are working with Kadin Indonesia together to reach the international citizens that reside and work in Jakarta [for Covid vaccination]," he said at the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 24.

Anies said that they use Sinopharm vaccine for the inoculation. This is done through the Gotong Royong program paid by the companies where the foreign nationals work. According to the Governor, the firms must pay Rp700,000 per vaccine. The foreigners can register to get the schedule for vaccination.

As for now, the Covid-19 vaccination for foreign citizens is held at Pola Building in Jakarta City Hall.
"The dissemination for this program has been done a week ago," he added.

Anies Baswedan iterated that this program targetted to vaccinate 1,000 expatriates in Jakarta. As many as 356 people have been registered.
