Indonesia Logs 2,048 Covid Deaths Today; 23.9% from West Java

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia reported that 2,048 Covid-19 patients have died as of Tuesday, August 10. According to the Covid-19 Task Force, the highest number of deaths was from West Java with 491, or 23.9 percent of the day's toll.

Following West Java is Central Java with 490, and then East Java with 329.

So far, Indonesia has recorded 110,619 known deaths related to Covid-19. The province with the highest Covid mortality is East Java with 23.621 deaths, followed by Central Java with 23.497, and Jakarta with 12.852 deaths.

At the same time, Indonesia continues to log high numbers of daily infections.

As of Tuesday noon, 32,081 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus over the last 24 hours, bringing the national caseload to more than 3.71 million cases.

The state also recorded the recoveries of 41,486 patients today, bringing the number up to over 3.17 million recoveries.
