TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry or Kadin confirmed that more than 28,000 companies have thus far registered for the Gotong Royong Covid-19 Vaccination program with around 10.5 million participants, including employees and their families.

However, Kadin had only received 330,000 doses for 165,000 participants in the first stage and 600,000 doses for 300,000 participants in the second stage. “The doses have been allocated to registered companies,” said Kadin Chairman Arsjad Rasjid in a written statement on Tuesday, July 13.

For the third stage, Kadin was asked to allocate 1 million doses for 500,000 participants. Arsjad hoped the doses for the mutual cooperation vaccine program could be increased and the implementation could be accelerated in order to meet the need.

Arsjad said Kadin was committed to helping accelerate the vaccination for the private sector as part of its support to the mass inoculation which is being sped up by the government to achieve herd immunity.

“In this program, Kadin manages the registration, while the implementation including the distribution is under the coordination of Bio Farma,” he added.

Arsjad explained that Kadin was in charge of collecting registration, facilitating, and determining the doses to private companies in accordance with the Covid-19 vaccine supply given by state-owned pharmaceutical firm Bio Farma.
