37 Toddlers in Depok Tested Positive for Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Depok - The Depok City Government, West Java, recorded that 37 toddlers were confirmed positive for Covid-19. “We do not hesitate to remind the public to always comply with the health protocols,” said the Regional Covid-19 Task Force Spokesman Dadang Wihana in Depok, Tuesday, July 13.

Based on the regional data as of July 12, 2021, positive cases were found in all age categories, from toddlers to 80 years old and over.

There were 37 cases in the 0- to 5-year-old age category, 117 cases in the 6- to 19-year-old age category, 189 cases in the 20- to 29-year-old age category, 200 cases in the 30- to 39-year-old age category, 206 cases in the 40- to 49-year-old age category, 122 cases in the 50- to 59-year-old category, 62 cases in the 60- to 69-year-old category, 7 cases in the 70- to 79-year-old category, and 3 cases in the age category of 80 years old and over.

As of the same date, Depok logged 71,012 positive Covid-19 cases with 13,362 active cases. There were also 324 suspected cases, and 4,163 people were in close contact. On Monday, 367 more patients recovered, bringing the total recovery to 56,379 people or 79.39 percent. Meanwhile, the death toll hit 1,271 cases with 14 more patients succumbed to the illness.
