Travelers Land in Bali Ngurah Rai Airport Required to Show PCR Test Pass

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Passengers aboard commercial flights that enter Bali via I Gusti Ngurah Rai international airport are now required to show a PCR-based Covid-19 pass that clears a person from the Coronavirus.
The regulation will be effective as of Wednesday, June 30, which is a stricter regulation as GeNose Covid-19 test results will no longer be used. This new rule comes after the Bali Governor issued the circular No.8/2021, Antaranews reported.
“As of tomorrow, passengers that arrive in Bali are required to show PCR-based health documents,” said Ngurah Rai Airport Stakeholder Relation Manager PT Angkasa Pura I, Taufan Yudhistira on Tuesday, June 29.
This tougher restriction will certainly affect the number of arrivals to Bali via air transportation. “We predict the drop to be around 30-40 percent,” he said.
Ngurah Rai airport will prepare a PCR test site in airport compounds specifically for passengers from regions that do not have PCR-based testing facilities.
