TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The management of the Pre-Employment Card Program has revoked the membership of around 11,000 people from the 12th batch. Their memberships were revoked because they did not purchase the first training package within 30 days after being elected as beneficiaries of the Pre-employment Card.
"This is so regretful. Many people want to join but do not get the opportunity, but the chosen ones wasted the opportunity to improve their skills and competencies, and lost a chance to get social assistance," Louisa Tuhatu, head of communications of the Pre-Employment Card Program Management, told reporters on Tuesday, April 6.
Louisa reminded that the deadline for purchasing the first training package for batch 13 is Thursday, April 8, 23:59. The management noted that there are some 12,000 people from the 13th wave who have not purchased the first training package.
"We hope they can take advantage of the remaining time to immediately purchase training via the seven digital platforms," said Louisa.
The government is targeting to give Pre-employment Card benefits to 2.7 million participants by the first semester of 2021. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, said the registration process for 2.7 million participants is expected to be completed in March 2021. The government has also allocated a budget of Rp10 trillion for the program for the first half of 2021.
