Jokowi Lists Top 5 Training Courses in Pre-Employment Card Program

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo revealed the five most popular training courses in the pre-employment card program. The first is online marketing training.
“Many members are enthusiastic [about the course], and the market needs it. All industrial banking offices need the skill,” said the President in a live broadcast on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
The digital marketing training, he added, is also in demand by participants who wish to be entrepreneurs in line with the development era. The second course is related to the food and beverage sector as it is quite promising for entrepreneurs.
The third course is related to information technology, followed by administrative affairs and entrepreneurship.
“I started a business from scratch too, starting from participating in a training. Now in the digital era, people can learn online,” Widodo remarked.
Until now, the pre-employment card program has entered its 14 batches and is participated by 5.5 million people from the total of 55.6 million registrants in 514 districts or cities throughout the country.
The program also established a collaborative ecosystem as there are 7 digital platforms, 5 payment partners, 165 training institutions, and more than 1,700 types of courses that have been reviewed and are continuously evaluated by independent teams of experts.
President Jokowi said he was happy and proud to hear the success stories of the pre-employment card recipients from Sabang to Merauke and from Miangas to Rote. He said the stories proved the success of the program’s target in terms of skilling, upskilling, and re-skilling.
