TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday called on all regents in the country to provide exceptional services for exports and investments as he said both were key to the national economic growth.

Jokowi mentioned this in the national meeting with the Association of all Indonesia Regency Governments (APKASI) today.

“Please encourage factories that conduct exports, SMEs that export, and assist them,” said the President at the State Palace in Jakarta on March 26. “If there are investments that arrive in your region please serve them well.”

The President stressed the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) had an electronically-integraged business permit service or the online single submission with swift processing.

“The key to our economy are the two aforementioned aspects, investments and exports. Because the state budget is limited and cannot grow more than 5 percent,” said Jokowi.
