TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry, which is spearheaded by Sri Mulyani Indrawati, has again collaborated with the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) in an end-to-end supervision of the state budget (APBN) or state funds.

“As well as the prevention and handling of alleged fraud cases,” said the Finance Ministry’s Head of the Communication and Information Services Bureau, Rahayu Puspasari, in a written statement in Jakarta, Friday, March 5, 2021.

Other scopes in the collaboration include information and data exchange and the fortification of capacity and capability of the Internal Government Apparatus Supervision (APIP) and the Internal Control System (SPI).

The Finance Ministry initiated the collaboration as it allocated Rp699.43 trillion for the national economic recovery program in 2021, up by 21 percent from the temporary realization of the program budget last year at Rp579.78 trillion.

This year’s budget focuses on health management programs, social protection, support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and corporations, as well as business incentives. All programs are expected to be a game-changer in efforts to restore the national economy and public health.

Apart from BPKP, the Finance Ministry further hoped that the public could also participate in supervising the use of the state budget. People are asked to file a report to the monitoring apparatus should there be any irregularities.
