Indonesia Takes Delivery of Additional 11 Million Sinovac Vaccines

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia will be receiving deliveries of 11 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines that are produced by Sinovac Life Sciences today on Tuesday which is flown from Beijing but will transit briefly in Singapore before arriving in Indonesia.
The Indonesia’s Ambassador to Indonesia Suryopratomo said today in a statement that the 11 million sinovac vaccine doses ordered by Bio Farma Bandung will transit in Singapore. “It will be carried by Singapore Airlines SQ 0801 and will be arriving in Indonesia on February 2, at 09:30 Western Indonesia Times (WIB),”
The additional delivery adds to the 3 million vaccine vials that have been distributed to 34 provinces and the 15 million doses of raw vaccine material.
This latest delivery is one of many deliveries of the Sinovac vaccine that is gradually sent to Indonesia after the previous deliveries on December 6, 2020 and January 12, 2021. The current vaccine will take form in non-ready vials and will be processed first by Indonesian pharmaceutical firm Bio Farma.
