TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bandung city administration in West Java decided to shut down four mini markets on grounds of having violated a proportional large-scale social restriction (PSBB) policy.

Bandung Vice Mayor Yana Mulyana confirmed that the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) had sealed the four mini markets for failing to adhere to the permissible operating hours.

Bandung Mayor's Regulation Number 73 of 2020 stipulates that the operating hours of mini markets are limited to 8 p.m. local time.

"We have taken firm measures since the city government prioritizes the city residents' health. We are currently in the red zone," he noted in a written statement released on Friday.

During the operations held on Thursday night (Dec. 17), Satpol PP personnel were present on streets, including Lengkong, Pungkur, Moch. Ramdan, BKR, Gatot Subroto, and Ibrahim Adjie, to ensure that no mini markets operated beyond the permissible operating hours.
