TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Covid-19 vaccine made by Sinovac arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Sunday evening, December 6. They were immediately brought to Bio Farma Head Office in Bandung City.

"Once we get the permit from BPOM, we will start the vaccination. As I have said, we have the obligation to follow scientific principles. We want the public's safety and security to be given the utmost priority," President Joko Widodo said in written statement, Monday, December 7.

From the warehouse at Soekarno-Hatta cargo terminal, seven envirotainers of vaccines were then transported using three trucks that are closely guarded by security forces during the trip.

The trucks arrived at Bio Farma's facility at 03:45, and the vaccines were immediately stored in a cool room with a temperature between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius.

Soon, a team from the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) and Bio Farma will take samples from the vaccine for quality testing.
