TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo said the Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) exhibition received more than 53,000 visitors. BI said that the event recorded a sales total of Rp10.5 billion.

"The event also posted matching business achievements of Rp113.2 billion, and Rp4.7 billion in financing commitments," Perry said when opening the third series of KKI, Friday, November 20.

There were 379 MSMsE consisting of 127 engaged in textiles, 75 in crafts, and 177 in F&B. The exhibition also held no less than 30 events with 47 speakers.

Sixteen buyers from six countries—Singapore, Italy, Australia, Korea, Japan, and China—participated in the matching business and deals.

"The transaction value and the success of KKI are real impacts and a driving force for MSMEs to continue to be creative and advance despite the pandemic," Perry said.

With this year's theme, 'MSME Friends of Millennials', KKI is expected to spur hope and optimism for millennial entrepreneurs to help improve the welfare of the nation and the economy in the future.

"We can see the progress of millennials from now on, from various fields, to become a turning point for MSMEs to emerge as a new economic power," Perry said.
