TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Flagship carrier Garuda Indonesia has decided to expand its domestic network. The state-owned airline is opening 20 new routes for flights this month.
In its official website, Garuda said that the route expansion is part of the company's plan to resume non-business or holiday flights during the new normal era. Garuda said it will apply strict health protocols until passengers arrive in their destinations.

Garuda mandates the use of wearing masks at the airport and in cabin. Physical distance between people is kept at least one meter apart, and passengers are urged to clean hands and personal belongings regularly.
Among the new routes are flights between Batam and Surabaya, Jayapura and Nabire, Labuan Bajo and Surabaya, and others. For reservations between November 2 and December 31, ticket prices start at Rp545,100 which is the one way fare for flights between Denpasar and Solo.
