TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Head Danang Parikesit announced that the fare of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road will be integrated with the Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road.
“The elevated toll road has been operated since December 2019, and it is planned that after the trial, the hike in fare will take into effect,” said Danang in a virtual press conference on Tuesday, November 11, 2020.
Danang added that the elevated toll road has not been charged a tariff since its operation in mid-December last year. Thus, the fare will be applied before its one-year operation.
The increase in the toll road fate also complies with the decree of the Public Works and Housing Minister No. 1524/KPTS/M/2020.
State-owned toll operator PT Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur said the tariff will be divided into four regions, namely Jakarta IC-Pondok Gede Barat/Pondok Gede Timur, Jakarta IC-West Cikarang, Jakarta IC-Karawang Timur, and Jakarta IC-Cikampek.
The toll road fare for Group I vehicles will rise from Rp15,000 to Rp20,000. For Group II, the rate will increase from Rp22,500 to Rp30,000. For Group III vehicles, it will be Rp30,000 from previously Rp22,500. Meanwhile, for Group IV and V vehicles, the rate will increase from Rp30,000 to Rp40,000.
