TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahmad Lukman Jupiter, the treasurer of the NasDem Faction of the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD), said that Governor Anies Baswedan had not yet fulfilled his four campaign promises until his three years of leadership.

Jupiter outlined the four promises. First, the zero down-payment housing program. “To date, the program has not been fully implemented. There are still millions of Jakartans who do not have a place to live according to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) data,” said Jupiter.

He also touched on the low-cost apartment complex or Rusunawa in West Jakarta whose occupancy rate remained low.

The second promise was about flooding in the capital city. Jupiter recalled that Anies was even sued by members of the public over the widespread impacts of floods. The city’s disaster mitigation, he opined, had not shown any significant results.

The provincial and central governments were still throwing the responsibility at each other related to river normalization, the NasDem politician said.

The third campaign promise that has not been met is the creation of employment through the OK Oce program, which Jupiter considered to have just disappeared.

Jupiter went on to mention that the fourth promise was about reclamation projects. During the election campaign, Anies Baswedan stated firmly that he was against reclamation. However, the governor supported the reclamation of Ancol in North Jakarta.
