TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) on Wednesday announced that the Indonesian government plans to soon draft the derivative regulations for the omnibus job creation law.

“As soon as possible it will be discussed, because the president gave a deadline of three months maximum. So I think the drafting team has already started to compose them,” said Presidential staff office’s special staff for political communication deputy, Donny Gahral Adian, on October 14.

In addressing general public complaints regarding the lack of public participation in drafting the omnibus law, Donny said the drafting of its derivative regulations will be accounted for to the public.

“The drafting team will surely invite academics, public figures, and mass-organizations. All aspects [of society] will be able to contribute their inputs for these derivative regulations,” said Donny.

Previously on Wednesday, October 14, the House of Representatives (DPR) secretary general Indra Iskandar had handed over the omnibus job creation 812-page draft to the Presidential Palace’s State Secretariat.
