Jakarta Sees Highest Rise in COVID-19 Recoveries: Task Force

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Capital City Jakarta saw the highest rise in the number of people recovering from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among the country's 34 provinces as of Sunday (Sept 27), according to the Task Force for COVID-19 Response.

With more 1,297 people recovering from the infection, the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the capital city reached 56,329.

Trailing in second place was East Java with the addition of 402 recoveries, bringing its total recoveries to 35,945.

West Java came in third with 230 new recoveries, taking its total recoveries to 12,874.

In the fourth place was South Sulawesi with the addition of 217 recoveries that brought its total recoveries to 11,329.

With the addition of 213 recoveries, Banten secured the fifth place with total recoveries of 3,478.

Sixteen provinces reported no deaths from the COVID-19 on Sunday, Sept 27.
