TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron said his office will evaluate the employment system following the resignation of several of its employees.

"We’ll evaluate KPK employment system internally,” Ghufron said Saturday, September 26.

Recently, KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah stated he had submitted his resignation to the anti-graft agency on September 18, due to the alteration in its political and law conditions.

According to Ghufron, KPK is not a place to relax; it’s the place for the anti-corruption fighters. He said that a fighter would not step down from the arena before the victory is won even though the battlefield has now changed.

“We thank those who dedicated themselves and spent their time in developing the KPK. Good luck to all of them, and we, of course, respect KPK employees’ personal decisions,” he added.

He also congratulated those who stay at and loyal to KPK as changes are unavoidable certainties.

It is recorded that at least 157 KPK employees have stepped down from their jobs within the period of 2016-2020.
