Sri Mulyani Hopes 2021 State Budget Can Improve Economy, People's Life

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati in Friday’s hearing with the House of Representatives (DPR) budgeting board (Banggar) expressed hopes that the 2021 State Budget (APBN) could become the main driver to support Indonesia’s economic resilience.
“And recover the economy and people’s welfare,” said Sri Mulyani during the DPR hearing on September 25.
The hearing saw the entire House members approve the 2021 State Budget bill proposed by the government. The bill will next be taken to the DPR plenary meeting with several evaluations on a number of aspects.
Sri Mulyani expressed her gratitude towards the lawmakers who approved the bill and conveyed her appreciation for the latter's undertaking their constitutional duties. “Andremain productive despite being under the threats of COVID-19.”
Sri Mulyani assured that the government would closely monitor the APBN’s implementation and evaluate aspects that were highlighted by the House budget board.
