TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned railway operator KAI Operation Area (Daop) 2 Bandung opened up another location of COVID-19 rapid test services for would-be passengers.

“Rapid test services are now available at Kiaracondong Station. Previously, it only exists at Bandung Station,” said KAI Bandung Public Relations Manager Noxy Citrea on Friday, September 18, 2020.

KAI still requires would-be passengers willing to take long-distance trains to present a document certifying they are free of COVID-19 infection. “We call on all would-be passengers to undergo a rapid test in Kiaracondong a day before the departure,” Noxy said.

The service, Noxy added, had been open since Thursday, September 17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. “The requirement to take the test is the same, a booking code, and the cost is Rp85,000.”

Noxy said that Kiaracondong Station operates seven long-distance train routes. The rapid test services in Bandung have been open since July 30, 2020. Until September 17, 2020, there had been 11,611 prospective passengers undergoing the rapid test services at Bandung station.
