Jakarta Ambulance Crew Taken to Wisma Atlet after Testing Positive for Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of ambulance crews were as well as medical staff at the Menteng Community Health Center (Puskesmas) were taken to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, Jakarta, on September 17. The health workers tested positive for Covid-19.

The Instagram account of @agddinkesdkijkt wrote that 18 ambulance crew and Puskesmas staff had been infected with the coronavirus.

"Fourteen ambulance crew and four staff from Puskesmas Menteng had been exposed to Covid-19, and they are now referred to Wisma Atlet Kemayoran," the post said.

Menteng Health Center chief Rusmala Dewi confirmed that their health workers had contracted the Coronavirus. "Therefore, starting tomorrow we are closed for three days," Rusmala said on Tuesday, September 15.

The number of confirmed cases in Jakarta continues to soar, reaching more than a thousand new cases daily. The positivity rate is above the World Health Organization (WHO) standard, which is 5 percent maximum. Jakarta's positivity rate had even exceeded 15 percent in a week.
