TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Health Agency office building that is located on Jalan Kesehatan, Central Jakarta, was closed due to positive Covid-19 cases among employees.

“But the building is not closed entirely,” said Jakarta Employment Agency Head Chaidir via a phone call with Tempo on Thursday, September 17, 2020.

The service department of the Health Agency, he added, remained operating, particularly the pandemic response team. Apart from that, workers were asked to work from home as the building would be sterilized.

Chaidir claimed he was not aware of the number of positive cases at the building. “I don’t know how many people [tested positive for the disease]. Ask the Health Agency,” he said.

Blok G building of Jakarta City Hall was also closed after 13 officials and employees were found contracting Covid-19.

The closure would be valid for three days for sterilization as noted in the Gubernatorial Regulation No. 88 concerning the large-scale social restriction or PSBB.
