11 Jakarta Administration Employees Exposed to COVID-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration announced on Thursday that 11 government employees who worked at the City Hall block G facility had been exposed to COVID-19.
“There are 11 staff members in total,” said the Jakarta civil service agency Head, Chaidir, on Thursday, September 17.
Confirmation about their condition came after they underwent swab tests held at the location, the employees who tested positive worked at the eighth and twenty first floor.
He also confirmed that previous tests found two officials working at City Hall’s block G facility were also exposed to COVID-19. “Yes, but I will not reveal their names,” said Chaidir.
Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan previously on Wednesday announced that the building will be closed for three days after two City Hall employees were exposed to the virus. THe three-day closure adheres to the governor’s regulation No.88 on the large-scale social restriction (PSBB).
The Jakarta administration is also in mourning after the passing of Jakarta administration secretary, Saefullah, due to COVID-19. The secretary’s office was located inside the block G facility.
