TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Firli Bahuri on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, reported that the anti-graft institution had successfully prevented 58.52 percent of corruption cases from six programs that were picked to be part of KPK's national strategy.
"This is our report to the President, the national corruption prevention had been conducted by 54 state-ministries and institutions over 34 provinces and 508 districts or cities. Nationwide, 58.52 percent have ranked 'favorable'," said the KPK chairman in a national strategy presentation on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Moreover, the score on marketplaces for items and service procurements amount to 61.79 percent, village finances 83.33 percent, anti-graft management implementation 66.75 percent, online single submissions on licensing services 47.15 percent, and bureaucratic reform 65.06 percent.
Firli explains that Bali's provincial government scores the highest in corruption prevention with 75 percent while West Java and the Riau Islands both scored 71.88 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of state ministries and institutions, the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) scored the best with 93.74 percent.
"This is the result of the hard work of the national action against corruption," said the KPK chair.
