TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises launched a platform dubbed e-Brochure, which is aimed at helping small businesses in promoting and marketing their products digitally.

“[Our] initial target is that 10,000 enterprises will join the e-Brochure program," said the ministry's Director of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Marketing Services Agency (LPP KUKM) alias Smesco, Leonard Theosabrata, in a press release in Jakarta, August 20.

Leonard said that this is a user-friendly platform which can be accessed through mobile phone, desktop, or laptop, by everyone including the MSMEs and the consumers. "They can even interact through a feature in the platform”, he added.

The e-Brochure, he explained, is an initial step of MSME database formation that will be curated to be able to enter the National Product Convoy and will eventually be promoted in Sparc Trade.

Sparc Trade is Smesco's follow-up program to meet supply and demand in business to business (B2B). “Sparc Trade will become Smesco's main platform to connect supply from National Product Convoy program to its buyers; in the country or abroad."

Minister of Cooperative and SMEs Teten Masduki also said that e-Brochure is a simple and easy to use app, including among the elderly.

"Not every MSME is able to sell its products in the marketplace. The e-Brochure can be used as a training platform to enter the digital ecosystem," he remarked.
