Jakarta Shuts 26 Offices after Becoming Covid-19 Clusters

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Office has temporarily shut down 26 offices over the past week. The working space had to be closed off after employees tested positive for Covid-19.
A total of 29 offices in Jakarta have been shut down in relation to the pandemic. Three other offices were shut for not complying with health protocols; including exceeding the 50-percent maximum capacity policy
"During the PSBB transition period, we have conducted unannounced inspections in 3,124 companies," Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency Head Andri Yansyah said in a written statement, Wednesday, August 5.
Seven of the companies that were shut after their workers tested positive for Covid-19 are in Central Jakarta. There are also two in West Jakarta, five in North Jakarta, six in East Jakarta, and six in Central Jakarta.
The three companies that were closed for failing to comply with the Covid-19 health protocols are located in Central, West and East Jakarta each.
