TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bali Safari & Marine Park and Tirta Empul Temple in Bali are ready to welcome tourists. Gianyar Regency Secretary I Made Gede Wisnu Wijaya ensured that the two destinations were prepared to apply health protocols against the novel coronavirus transmission.

“Bali Safari Park is the largest tourist attraction in Gianyar that is managed by a private party. Many tourists visit here,” said Wisnu Wijaya after monitoring the implementation of the health measures in the area on Wednesday, July 1.

The General Manager of Bali Safari and Marine Park, Thomas Colbert, asserted that his side has been ready to reopen the area which was closed from March 23, 2020. “We are very ready to meet the protocols in a new normal era,” he said.

Based on field observation as quoted by Antara, all employees wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as face shields, face masks, and hand gloves. Vehicles are also sprayed with disinfectant before entering the area.

Additionally, the management provides hand sanitizer and handwashing stations at various points. At the entrance gate, officers check visitors’ body temperature and placed a shoe disinfectant mat.

Other than Bali Safari & Marine Park, Wisnu Wijaya oversaw Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring that will reopen soon as well under the predetermined health protocols.
