TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia appealed to people willing to leave and bound for Jakarta to complete their required travel documents based on the government’s policy, including an exit and entry permit or SIKM.

“This is in line with the provisions of exit and entry permit for Jakarta areas enacted by the provincial administration,” said the airline’s CEO Irfan Setiaputra on Wednesday, May 27.

SIKM is an absolute requirement that must be obtained by residents who wish to leave or enter the capital city as mandated in a gubernatorial decree No. 47/2020.

Would-be passengers could check the requirements to get the travel pass on corona.jakarta.go.id.page. Irfan explained that airline management has coordinated with several related parties regarding the policy.

Garuda had also tightened its supervision. Its officers, Irfan added, would ensure passengers who were allowed to board the plane had abided by the protocols set by the Covid-19 task force and Transportation Ministry.

Other than SIKM, Irfan reminded all to bring with them Covid-free medical letters, such as the result of Covid-19 rapid tests or PCR tests.

“More information regarding Garuda Indonesia's operational policies and health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic can be seen through our official website,” said Irfan.
