TEMPO.CO Jakarta Ramadan . The company recorded a 22-percent monthly traffic hike as of the third week of May.
On a year-on-year basis, the increase is 48 percent.
"The jump in internet usage during Ramadan this year was mainly due to the government's appeal for the people to stay at home during the pandemic ," Danny said on Wednesday, May 20.
The company noted that in May, so far, the biggest traffic was contributed by online shopping. Danny projects the trend will continue until the Idul Fitri week.
In terms of location, areas that experienced the biggest traffic hikes are Kisaran, in North Sumatra and Cianjur-Sukabumi, among others.
