TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Eid al-Fitr is just around the corner, marking the end of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting. Many countries are expected to celebrate the first day of Shawwal on April 10, including the Gulf Middle East, North Africa regions, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, UAE, and Qatar, although no official announcement has been made.
Saudi’s General Entertainment Authority has announced a series of Eid events, including fireworks displays, music concerts, theatrical performances, and more in various regions of the Kingdom.
The theme of this year's Eid celebrations is "Your Eid is Among Your Family and Loved Ones," in an effort to appeal to all ages and tastes so that everyone can enjoy an inclusive celebration.
The fireworks show will commence at 9 p.m. every day, beginning on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. A series of theatrical performances featuring Arab actors will take place on April 13 and 14. In addition, eight music concerts will be held in different cities.
Jeddah will also host the “Eid Destination” event at Jeddah Promenade for ten days, featuring distinctive folk shows, music concerts, entertaining performances, and other interactive activities.
