TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta provincial administration decided to remove the 13th and 14th salary bonuses for all civil servants or ASN as mandated in the proposal of the rationalization of Jakarta Budget during the COVID-19 pandemic discussed today along with the board members.
“The 13th and 14th salary bonuses have been cut off during this pandemic,” said the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) deputy speaker, Abdurrahman Suhaimi, to Tempo on Tuesday, May 5.
With the realization of the budget, this year’s employee expenditure was reduced by Rp5.57 trillion, or at Rp15.97 trillion. As of April 14, the city administration recorded the budget spending at Rp4.72 trillion.
The realization had also included a 50-percent cut of the regional performance allowance or TKD, elimination of transportation budgets for government officials, and reduction of allowance for the province's revenue agency (Bapenda).
The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) politician asserted that the salary bonus removal would also be effective for board members.
The Jakarta administration projected that this year's regional funds would decline following the Covid-19 pandemic by 53.65 percent or Rp47.18 trillion. The capital was expected to earn revenue of up to Rp87.95 trillion.
