KPK Asks Erick Thohir to Report Information on Medical Kits Mafia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asks State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir to follow up about medical devices mafia by reporting any information to the anti-graft agency.

“KPK will definitely check and further examine the information,” said the acting spokesman for the anti-graft agency, Ali Fikri, on Friday, April 17, 2020.

He said that his office is committed to control and take action against any parties playing dirty in the implementation of budget and procurement of COVID-19 mitigation.

Erick Thohir has once talked about mafia in the medical kits import as the import value reached 90 percent.

“Let’s not fall into short term policy. [Medical equipment import is] dominated by mafia; those traders that we must fight,” Erick said on his Instagram account, Thursday, April 16.
