TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s COVID-19 task force spokesman Achmad Yurianto announced on Friday, March 20, 2020, that the number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Indonesia has grown to 369 cases with a death toll of 32.

"The total number of cases is 369," said Yurianto in the press conference held at the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), Friday, March 20, 2020.

This updated statistic increases the number of deaths due to the outbreak from 25 deaths on March 19, to 32 in just one day. Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 deaths come from numerous areas in Jakarta.

Central Java ranks second with 3 deaths, followed by Bali that saw one death related to coronavirus. Following at fourth is Banten (1 death), West Java (1 death), East Java (1 death), and North Sumatera also recording one death due to the virus that initially spread from the Chinese province of Wuhan earlier this year.
