TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta floods inundate several toll roads due to high-intensity rainfall since early morning, February 25. Jasa Marga records that there are 12 highways across Jakarta Greater Area that are affected by the flood.

"We urge road users to anticipate some inundation points on Jasa Marga's toll roads," said the Jasa Marga Head Group of Community and Communication Development, Dwimawan Heru, in a press release on Tuesday, February 25.

The state toll road operator is currently following up on the inundation at several highways. The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road at Cikampek direction is still safe for road users to pass with inundation level at 10-15 cm at KM-19. Flooding also submerged the rest area in KM-19, with a height of 10-15 cm, that is temporarily closed.

The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, at KM-34 of Jakarta direction with 10 cm puddle, is also safe for road users to pass. Meanwhile, on the other side at KM-19, there are puddles as high as 25-30 cm and road users from Cikampek to Jakarta are advised taking alternative routes.

Jatibening Toll Gate entrance access at KM-8 is still safe for road users with 15 cm inundation in lane one and lane two. Road users from the Cikunir-Bekasi direction toward Jakarta are encouraged to take alternative routes such as the JORR toll road as 20-25 cm flood inundated the area.

The Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road, at KM-14 and KM-15 of Tangerang direction, is submerged with 5-10 cm of floodwater. Jagorawi Toll Road is inundated with 5-10 cm at KM-3+600 of Bogor direction.

The Jakarta outer ring road of Rorotan Exit is closed due to a 45-50 cm flood at BKN area. At Jatiasih direction, the tunnel from Cikunir toll gate heading to four directions is temporarily closed and diverted to the Kalimalang II toll gate.

"The Branch officer of Jasa Marga Jakarta-Cikampek is putting on alert signs and spread officers before the inundation locations, so that road users can reduce vehicle speed and anticipate flooding," Heru said.
