TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Administration has prepared a number of alternative routes to host the Formula E race slated for June 6, 2020. The routes for the Formula E are changed after the State Secretariat Ministry barred the race from being held at the National Monument (Monas) area.
The deputy director of communications of Formula E JakPro, Hilbram Dunar, said the government has set another design that would not direct the street track into the Monas area.
“We are working on it. But we are unable to reveal the location yet,” said Hilbram via text message on Friday.
He assured the new alternative for the Jakarta Formula E track design would not be less iconic than the initial design that included parts of the track entering the Monas area. He said the new track design would incorporate another icon of Jakarta.
