TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially published the photos and identity of the graft suspect Harun Masiku on its website. The body’s acting spokesman Ali Fikri said the publication aimed at easing the search process.

“KPK hopes for public participation. People who know information on the location of the suspect can file a report to a nearby law enforcer or KPK through the office number of the call center at 198,” said Ali Fikri in a statement on Thursday, January 30.

Harun who is a PDIP politician was named a suspect for allegedly bribing the General Election Body (KPU) commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to clinch a seat at the House of Representatives (DPR) in replacement of the late Nazarudin Kiemas.

The anti-graft body issued the suspect naming on January 9 and since then, Harun’s whereabouts remained unknown to date.

KPK chief Firli Bahuri had even requested for the police’s help. “Of course, we synergize with the police and have issued a request letter for the search and arrest assistance added with Harun’s identity,” he said on January 20.

In response to Firli’s request, National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Argo Yuwono said on Friday, January 24, that his institution established a team to hunt down Harun Masiku.
