TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian train's commuter line (KRL) service of the Tangerang-Duri route is still hampered by the effect of the recent flood that hit Jakarta and surrounding areas. The KRL route has only been serving the passengers until Batu Ceper station due to flood in the station area.

"Water still inundated the area between Batu Ceper and Rawa Buaya stations," KRL's Vice President Corporate Communications of KCI (KRL operator), Anne Purba, said Friday, January 3.

In addition, the speed of the train from Pondok Ranji to Kebayoran was also limited to 40 km/hr, as well as in Kampung Bandan at 30 km/hr. According to Anne, other train trips operate normally.

“Generally, the Commuter Line runs normally on Friday morning," she said.

Rain with high-intensity showered the capital city and its vicinities during New Year's Eve until the next morning in 2020. It resulted in flooding in many areas in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), submerging a number of roads.
