TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta provincial government announced it is still investigating a report made by Islam Defenders Front (FPI) regarding several violations in the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) which they claim had sold alcohol and condoms.
Acting-head of the Jakarta tourism and culture department, Sri Haryati, said her office is comparing the findings from both the FPI and the government.
“We are collecting the pieces of evidence reported by members of the public and those from the Tourism department's monitoring,” said Haryati at the Jakarta City Hall on December 26.
FPI spokesman, Munarman, claimed to have discovered a number of evidence on the goods that are sold within the DWP area.
“We found at least 30 instances. Condom and alcohol are also the items in question,” said Munarman in a text message on Saturday, December 21.
However, the Jakarta administration said it is yet able to reveal the pieces of evidence allegedly found in the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) area as the investigation was not held by the city’s tourism department. Haryati said her side will announce the findings after a written statement has been agreed upon between Ismaya, event organizer, and the government.
