TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State toll road operator Jasa Marga recorded that more than 50,000 vehicles have passed Jakarta-Cikampek elevated toll road at D-5 (December 20) of the Christmas holiday.

The Corporate Communication Department Head, Faiza Riani, said the figure increased more than 50 percent compared to daily traffic of 33,000 vehicles and increased 63 percent compared to the same period last year.

Until December 20, the number of the vehicle passing the Cikampek Utama toll gate was 22 percent from the total of predicted volume. "Some 50,000 vehicles have left Jakarta," Faiza said today, December 21.

They predicted 78 percent more, or 182,000 vehicles, would pass the toll gate until December 24.

The number would be anticipated by implementing traffic engineering for the convenience of the Trans Java toll users.

Jasa Marga expected the peak of the exodus flow of Christmas 2019 fell on Saturday, December 21. As many as 61,000 vehicles were predicted to pass the Cikampek Utama toll gate to the Trans Java toll. The figure increased 83 percent from normal traffic and increased 28 percent from last year's.
