TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The recent annulment of the tourism award Adikarya Wisata 2019 of Jakarta’s Colosseum Club 101 did little to no effect on the nightclub’s attendance. At least this was the case on Wednesday night and Thursday dawn of December 18-19 when Tempo visited the place.

Hundreds of party-goers did not stop flowing to the nightclub located in the Pinangsia area in West Jakarta. An employee confirmed our suspicion; “[The award that was stripped] did no effect. This continues to be packed,” said the employee with a high tone voice due to the loud music.

“It’s never empty. Especially when there’s a renowned DJ in the house,” the employee said.

As other nightclubs, this one was no stranger to the rising attendance when midnight starts to move to dawn. The performance of pole dancers on the main stage further “heats” the excitement.

During workdays, Colosseum charges each person Rp100,000 that already includes a 330-milliliter bottle of alcoholic beverage which visitors can choose. Open tables for four are charged up to Rp2 million with 63 available in the nightclub. Other entry fees go up to Rp5 million with upgraded facilities too.

Back to the nightclub’s initial Adikarya Wisata 2019 award before it was stripped, a visitor identifying himself as Erik said; “Colosseum deserved the award,” talking about the top-notch sound systems and the various renowned DJs that get invited.
