TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita has opened the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS Motobike Expo 2019 at Istora Senayan, South Jakarta, Friday, November 29.
Several automotive brands join in the first motorbikes exhibition organized by PT Dyandra Promosindo. They are Yamaha, Honda, Lambretta, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Vespa, Piaggio, Benelli, BMW Motorrad, KTM, and Sinergi. Electric motorbike producers Gesits dan Selis also presented.
“The government had issued a PP (presidential letter) to develop electric vehicles in Indonesia, either motorcycle or car,” said Agus at the event.
During the motor show, several brand holder agents reportedly would launch their new products, including Kawasaki that has held a world premiere for its Kawasaki W175 TR on Thursday, November 28. The motorbike was built as an ideal touring vehicle. KTM and Husqvarna will also announce all new products.
The 2019 IIMS Motobike is initially scheduled to be opened by President Jokowi. The event kicks off today, November 29 until December 1, 2019, with a ticket fee at Rp25,000 per visitor. The show organizer offers a cheaper rate for a group of four at Rp75,000.
