TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Commissioner of Indonesian Ombudsman, Adrianus Meliala, warned the government about its newly-launched website dubbed aduanasn.id, a complaint portal through which radical state apparatus (ASN) could be reported.

According to Adrianus, the government should have used the existing online complaint site to accommodate reports against state employees allegedly being radical, instead of creating a new portal.

“Why not using the existing portal that has been widely spread and disseminated to all parties?” said Adrianus at JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 27.

Adrianus mentioned the government had launched the largest online public-service complaint system (SP4N) or LAPOR! via lapor.go.id.

According to him, the system was monitored by three institutions, namely Presidential Staff of Office, Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, and Indonesian Ombudsman. “If there is no service [from the ministry], Ombudsman will take it over,” he added.

Adrianus further said that the government should be mindful when developing a complaint portal, given such as site was often active in the early days of the launching. “Then the site goes down because of lack of maintenance.”
