TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would examine the son of Legal and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly, Yamitema Tirtajaya Laoly, in the corruption case incriminating Medan Deputy Mayor Tengku Dzulmi Edin. He would be examined as a witness for the suspect, Isya Ansyari who was the non-active head of Medan Public Works and Housing Office.

"He will be examined as a witness for the suspect IA (Isya Ansyari)," said the KPK spokesperson Chrystelina GS on Monday, November 11.

Based on the examination agenda, Yamotema nicknamed Tema would be questioned as Director of PT Kani Jaya Sentosa, a construction firm based in Medan. Chrystelina stopped short of detailing the reason Tema was being examined.

Apart from Tema, the anti-graft body would also question Dzulmi's wife, Rita Maharani Dzulmi Eldin for the same suspect.

Dzulmi Eldin was named suspect in an alleged bribery case from Isya Ansyari. The anti-graft body suspected Dzulmi of receiving Rp380 million on various occasions since Isya was appointed as the Head of Medan Public Works and Housing Office in February until September 2019.
