TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Java Investment Coordinating Board’s Head of Development and Promotion, Eka Hendrawan, announced some 200-300 foreign delegates would attend the upcoming West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) 2019 in Bandung on Friday, October 18.

“The WJIS this year has attracted more people compared to last year's. We predict the attendance of at least 200-300 foreign delegates in this year’s event,” said Eka Hendrawan at Bandung’s Gedung Sate Museum on Monday, October 14.

According to Eka, a number of significant development projects in West Java will be offered, such as the Bandung Raya Monorail, the Legok Nangka and Ciayumajakuning waste processing plants (TPPAS), and the drinking water processing system (SPAM) projects in Jatigede and Greater Bandung.

Other projects set to be pitched to global investors include the construction of Aerocity BIJB, industrial districts in Cirebon, Subang, and Majalengka (simplified as Segitiga Rebana), the Lido industrial district in Bogor, and two others set to be established in Sukabumi and Pangandaran.

Eka said a string of foreign investors had already shown their interest in the projects; they hailed from the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, the United States, Canada, Kuwait, Pakistan, Sudan, China, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia.
