TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Democrat Party’s Deputy, Syarief Hasan, announced its readiness to appoint the party’s best members to join the Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin Cabinet if such request does indeed arise. He mentioned Agus “AHY” Harimurti Yudhoyono as one of the possible candidates.

“I think mas AHY stands out the most and can represent Indonesia’s millennial generation. As a party cadre slated as a future leader, he will surely be up for the task,” said Syarief at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex on Wednesday.

He revealed that Democrat Party has a concept that consists of 14 priority programs that will be offered to President-elect Jokowi that involve programs such as “people’s economy” up to law enforcement policies similar to those adopted under the presidency of Democrat’s chairman, Susilo “SBY” Bambang Yudhoyono.

Syarief also claimed Jokowi responded positively to the programs when pitched by AHY. He also hoped that the priority programs would be adopted and enacted by Jokowi’s second-term Cabinet.

“It will hopefully be adopted since we believe that the 14 priority programs are what the people want right now,” said Democrat Party Deputy.
